Sony, one of the biggest names in the world of electronics, was branded as laggards in the portable media market, which is now dominated by players Apple.Planshetny S was announced to be released in two models - 16 GB Wi-Fi only model and a 16GB 3G +Wi-Fi model - in India.
While the former is available on the market, the latter is expectedto be available in the near future. Sony also introduced the Tablet P about a month ago, which is expected to hit Indian markets, sometimes in January.
 Hardware and styling ->
The tablet comes packaged in a large box containing a tablet unit, power supply, power cord AC, strap and manuals. I waited a pair of headphones in the box; I got frustrated about not finding the same. At first glance, you can find a piece of Sony Tablet S strange as it may seem somewhat different from other tablet PCs.
The back is designed in a manner resembling a folded page of a magazine, making one side thicker than the other. And no doubt this is the USP of the tablet. The wedge shape makes it comfortable for a user to hold the device. But this also means that you will not get the subtlety of the Apple iPad or Galaxy 2 tablets of Samsung. But, practically, this design over traditional flat (closed-Journal) plans.
The thickness of the top gives the tablet a tad bent, which makes better viewing angles. It also becomes easier for the user to enter a slope than a flat one.Although the tablet is thicker at the end, but still weighs less than 3g of iPad Apple 2. Although it weighs almost equal to the iPad 2, but it feels lighter in his hands because of the way it was designed and its weight is distributed.
This innovative design helps Sony stand out in a crowd.The left panel is a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a fragile slider that hides a micro USB port and card slot SD. Let me tell you that this is, technically, there is an expansion slot that we could expect. The slot is there to store and display data on the card and media exchange between the card and the tablet, but can be used to install and run applications.
On the right side is a button activation / inhibition and volume controls. At the bottom is a charging port. There is also a set of stereo speakers. The device also sports a 5 megapixel camera back and a 0,3 megapixel camera in front.The back panel is made of black plastic dotted texture. Also, the sides of plastic, with a nice matte silver color.
Although the use of plastic marginally cheapens the cost of the tablet, but also makes the unit feel flimsy and makes it prone to damage. In other words, the company did not use any aluminum iPad love for the Apple 2.The tablet has a 9.4-inch display with a resolution of 1280×800 pixels. The tablet screen is sharp and produces excellent colors, but does not match the screen Retina 2 iPad from Apple.
The tablet running on Android 3.2.1 operating system and Sony has done a lot of parameters, and Applications of the device looks quite simple and attractive. Applications are placed in a clean white background, which makes it easy to find any application
The tablet has a 5 megapixel camera back and a 0,3 megapixel camera in front. The use of camera back to the tablet does not really matter, as we have seen people almost exploited to the public. But to imitate their competitors, companies are equipped with devices on the back of the camera. Powered by a graphics NVIDIA Tegra 2 mobile processor with dual ARM Cortex-A9 core CPU clocked at 1 GHz, the device is very fast. But the device is often slow to detect when it rotates.
The battery life is solid, but not the best
