A New Hatchback from Mitsubishi – The Mitsubishi Colt
The
Mitsubishi Colt model is a compact hatchback, which is expected to
enter the Indian market by the end of 2011. The Colt model is expected
to unfold in the price bracket of Rs 6 to Rs 8 lakh, which will compete
with the likes of Hyundai i20, Skoda Fabia and Honda Jazz. The
availability of both diesel and petrol versions of the series will allow
the model Colt to compete more directly with its rivals in the country.
The Mitsubishi Colt, model will come loaded with a powerful 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine in two versions diesel and gasoline. Loaded with an array of advanced technological features, the Mitsubishi Colt, model should provide a tough battle with its competitors in the Indian market.
Mitsubishi currently sells a range of vehicles in the Indian car market, such as size in CEDIA, premium sedan Lancer, Montero, sports utility vehicle Pajero & Outlander luxury SUV. The launch of the Colt model will not only mean Mitsubishi’s entry into the compact hatchback in India and increasing its portfolio company, creating large amounts of the rapidly growing market hatchback.

The model Colt will come blessed with a powerful 1500cc engine, which will come in petrol and diesel versions. Hosting four rollers inside, the powerful engine of Colt will provide a maximum power of 70 hp combined with peak torque of 210 Nm @ 1800 RPM.The Colt model incorporates a five-speed manual gearbox, with McPherson struts and torsion bar suspension. The total length, width and height of the car is expected to be approximately 3900 mm, 1680 mm and 1550 mm respectively.
